Pornflakes Queer Crew - report on Queer Belgrade |

 As someone of you already knows...last week end took place in Belgrade (Serbia), the 5th QueerBeograde Festival and me, Horror and Sally Cellophane from Pornflakes Queer Crew went there to participate.
We arrived late on friday, thanx to some fuckin' italian delay with trains, after a night changing trains in lost villages in austria to get there.
At 10 pm we were waiting for the people of the organization to take us to the club where i had to play music and Horror and Sally would have perform.
When they arrived they also stopped us in the hostel 'cause there have been queer people beaten by some clerical fascists.
We expected this and we were aware of what we would have face in Serbia and that's why we went there, to support QueerBeograd organizers and to say that we have the right to EXIST and to live our life however we like!!!
After a while we reached the club by cab, the entrance of the club and the place around was all covered by policemen to protect us.
The party was brilliant, the club was really cool and the people really was there to enjoy the music. I think was one of my best djset ever, cause the atmosphere was so nice, although what happened few hours before.
The day after we met one of the boy that, with other boys and girls, was beaten by the fascists. He had a broken arm and some bruises in his head. One of the bastard get arrested.
The day after our street performance was cancelled for security reasons.
That night we all went to the last night party of the festival, in a boat, escorted by the police.
I just want to tell you that in some coutries it's still difficult to think to live a normal life organizing things, going out ect.. being queer. I just want to tell you that these countries are not so far away...and we cannot forget.
we don't want to forget all the beautiful persons that organized the QueerBeograd festival that still will live there.
we're lucky here, in Italy (although the right government), in UK, in France, in Spain, in Germany....but we will not forget.
